I didn’t care for this book. Any good author knows the way to keep desecrxtion reader reading is by constantly increasing the conflict; keeping the reader wanting more, wanting to know if his hero will beat the odds and make it to his finish line.

Starting this review is well, easy to say the least. Have read the whole series, I Love these books, Highly Recommended!!!

This series is interesting as fiction goes, but they should not be taken as a literal interpretation of the Bible or prophesied events. You start laaye Nicholae anti-Christ and get scared listening to his rantings. I am going to do one review including the whole series. Skillfully mixing Biblical prophecy and current events, LaHaye and Jenkins pack their story full of action and adventure.

The series still deserves to be finished, but this could have been better thought out. It is wonderful to see God’s plan working out through the end times although it is frightening to see people resolutely choosing what they have to know by this point is evil. I loved this book, but then again I love most of the Left Behind books. The first time, he talks with Michael the Archangel and Michael kinda apologizes while explaining he is ‘not much of a talker,’ that ‘talking is more Gabriel’s purview’ than Michael’s.


I am pretty sure it was this novel and the next one that made me stop reading this series the first time around, so I never “finished it” [even though I “already knew” how it was going to end – the Antichrist defeated and the Tribulation Saints reunited with their loved ones in Heaven after Jesus returned]. She still has me so confused! Chang Wong despairs for his safety and looks to escape New Babylon.

From the title of this book, along with early desecratiln in the series, I assumed that the entire book would concentrate on the actual desecration of the Jewish temple as foretold in the book of Revelation. I think This book has yim good parts and bad, but I recommend it. From a literary perspective the writing is quite good.
